Audrey Tautou

Audrey Tautou, the oldest of four children, was born on August 8, 1976 in Beaumont Puy-de Domme. Audrey Tautou's parents, who work as dentists and a school teacher, supported and encouraged her early interest in theatre and drama. Her initial dream to become a professional monkey was soon replaced by a desire to study theater and drama. Her meteoric rise as an actress in her early years was rapid and highlighted by her early successes. In 1998 after her studies, she participated in an French television show that scouts talent Jeunes Premiers sponsored by Canal+ and won Best Young Actress at the Beziers Festival of Young Actors prior to beginning the journey to become an actor. While she attended an institution called the Institut Catholique de Paris and had a religious affiliation in her early years, Tautou has since distanced herself from her religious upbringing and has stated that she's not Catholic.
