Her first role as an actor took place as a character in Music and Lyrics (2007 romantic comedy) with Hugh Grant and Drew Barrymore. The film's soundtrack featured some of her songs, along with the acting. That same year, she signed with 550 Music/NuSound Records and started making her debut album.
